In June 2007, the new EU regulation no. 1907/2006 regarding registration, evaluation, authorisation and restriction of chemicals (REACH) came into force.
Today, authorities and researchers know very little about the properties and the use of thousands of chemical substances. REACH is meant to increase such knowledge by collecting information about and documentation of these substances.
Very hazardous substances, such as CMR (carcinogenic, mutagenic or toxic for reproduction) and PBT (persistent, bioaccumulative, toxic) substances, are also to be phased out and replaced by less hazardous substances.
As a downstream consumer, DST-KEMI is obliged to ensure the following according to REACH:
• That raw materials used in the products are registered in ECHA
(new chemicals agency) by the raw material suppliers (all raw
materials have been pre-registered before 1 December 2008);
• That the use of raw materials in our products is covered by
exposure scenarios in MSDS' supplied by the raw material
supplier;
• We will provide information to our customers regarding the use
of the products – MSDS' will be updated continuously according
to EU regulation no. 1970/2006.
No CMR, PBT or other substances of high concern are used in the production of DST-DEGREEZ®.
There are no substances that require special authorisation as defined in the "candidate list" (annex XIV) in Article 57 of the REACH regulation.
Our products will be delivered in the same quality and with the same composition, even in the future.
